The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach.

4-H assists young people to acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society through “hands-on” learning experiences.
4-H is part of the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. 4-H is:
